Hablé con usted anterior sobre hacer parte de mi tesis de maestría en Nicaragua como parte de su programa de practicantes. He hablado con mi profesor que me guía y me ayude con mi tesis y la sugerencia para ver como la energia renovable ayuda a las familias en su desarrollo no es suficientemente técnica.

Sin embargo, tengo una idea de mi propia que creo que es interesante. Vi un artículo sobre una empresa, Dutch Rainmaker, que produce turbinas de viento que eléctricamente apoyar una bomba de calor (no se como se dice) que condensa el vapor de agua en el aire, por lo tanto la extracción de agua del aire, y en este manor la producción de agua potable. Como parte de un curso de física de la energía, he estudiado la posibilidad de construir una copia simplificada por mi mismo. Yo no sé todavía cuántas personas podrían ser abastecidas con agua potable a través de este sistema, quizás unas familias. ¿Lo que parece sobre eso? ¿Puedo construir esta maquina en un pueblo en Nicaragua? Y en ese caso, ¿tiene usted alguna sugerencia para un pequeño pueblo que necesita agua potable? Voy a solicitar una beca y necesito escribir en mi solicitud un lugar donde voy a realizar mi thesis.

También me pregunto acerca de los costos de vivir en Nicaragua. Voy a solicitar una beca y necesito hacer un presupuesto. En este momento estoy planeando venir en octubre y estancia de 3 meses. ¿Cuánto sería el costo de vida por tres meses?

Y una otra cosa, por esa beca necesito un certificado firmado de un supervisor del país donde voy a realizar mi thesis que muestra que no existen obstáculos formales para realizar el estudio en el país y que él / ella acepta tutoría cuando voy a estar en el país. Si fuera posible, le enviaré más detalles y un número de fax.

I spoke to you earlier about doing part of my masters thesis in Nicaragua through your internship program. I have spoken with my professor who will guide me and help me with my masters thesis and the suggestion about looking into how the solar energy has helped a village is not technical enough.

However, I have come up with an idea of my own that I is interesting. I saw an article about a company, Dutch Rainmaker, that produces wind turbines that electrically support a heat pump that condenses the water vapour in the air, thus extracting water from air, producing safe drinking water. As part of an energy physics course I have looked into the possibility of building a simplified copy by myself. I saw on your webpage that a student doing the internship program had made a wind turbine by local materials. So what I want to do is something similar, build a wind turbine and also this condensing machine and then let the windmill supply the condenser with electricity. I would also try to get the materials needed financed so that I could build something more durable. I do not know yet how many people could be supplied with clean drinking water through such a system, perhaps a couple of families. Would you it is alright for me to build such a machine in some village in Nicaragua? And in that case, do you have any suggestions for a small village in need of clean drinking water? I am going to apply for a grant and I need to state a place where I will be performing my masters thesis.

I am also wondering about the costs of living there in Nicaragua. I am going to apply for a grant and need to make a budget. At the moment I am planning to come in October and stay for 3 months. How much would the living costs be for three months?

And one more thing, for this grant I need a signed certificate from a supervisor from the country I will be doing my masters thesis in showing that there are no formal obstacles for performing the study in the country and that he/she accepts to act as a tutor while I am in the country.
